In addition to the prescribed burning that our crews perform, we encourage homeowners to use responsible burning as a part of their normal maintenance routine around their properties. Whether you are new to the area, or just new to controlled burning, we can offer assistance with obtaining permits, learning local rules and regulations, preparing your burn sites, and even remain on location during your burns to ensure things go smoothly.

This service is designed for property owners that are able and willing to do their own burning, but perhaps aren't comfortable being on their own quite yet. AFS crew members can be on hand to answer questions, provide information, and intervene if things start heading away from the comfort zone. With this extra bit of help, small-scale burning at home can become a useful tool for almost anyone.
